11 reasons stretching feels so good

1. Good for Circulation

Key for maintaining optimal health as it ensures blood and oxygen continuously flow and allows every organ to function correctly. This helps wounds to heal quicker, promotes a sharp brain and a healthy heart and gives a natural flush to your complexion.

2. Prevents Soreness

If you're back exercising in a couple of days without feeling sore, this means your body has adapted. Expect some feelings of muscle soreness after the exercise though!

3. Increases Flexibility

Well-stretched muscles move with more ease and with the full range of motion. The functional abilities that come with this include reaching, bending and stooping during daily tasks - improving your balance too.

4. Relieves Stress

Inflammation is increased from stress which can impact joints by making them swollen and stiffer. The tenser you feel the higher chance you'll reduce your ability to exercise, managing stress effectively improves your health and your capacity for further exercise.

5. Improves Mental Health

Increased self-esteem, self-expression and emotion-management. It feels great to move, dance and allow ourselves to enjoy what our bodies can do!

6. Lowers Blood Pressure

Preventing cardiovascular conditions.

7. Releases Endorphins

We know the benefits of these! Chemicals (hormones) that are released during activities such as exercise, massage, and eating - it's a great way to feel relaxed.

8. Facilitates a Good Night’s Sleep

Time to rest, repair and rebuild, your body and your mind too. During sleep our brains process and organise the information from the day, processing long-term memories. When you wake up, you often feel clarity and clearness about the day ahead which promotes good learning.

9. Relieves Back Pain

Self-explanatory!

10. Improves Posture

Improved breathing with ease - plus fewer headaches.

11. Helps with Fatigue

Less susceptibility to illnesses promotes better long-term health. Less fatigue = less prone to stress and all the benefits this has.
