As the summer ends and the new school year starts, you may be wondering where your great intentions for the year have gone to. Let’s face it, we’re still not quite back to “normal” yet and routines have changed in the last few years so don’t beat yourself up if you don’t feel you’re where you want to be with your exercise, health, body shape, lifestyle, self-care…. etc. etc.

Need to be with people?


For some people, getting their kit on and setting aside the same time each week to go to a class with others gives them more motivation. That’s why we have a range of face-to-face classes in and around Didcot, Abingdon, Steventon and Chilton.


We totally understand how difficult it can be to return to exercise after a break or start up as an adult if you’ve done nothing since school, many Gemma Pearce Fitness members were in the same boat when they started out, but there’s no stopping them now!


Our top tip is to start off gently and choose the low impact options we offer in classes, try a few different types of exercise over a few weeks while you build up your strength and stamina.


Once you’ve found the fitness classes that suit you, the best way to stay motivated is to find a varied routine you truly enjoy so that it never feels like a chore. Then, if you can control the distractions, you are all set to create a habit that’s easy to stick to.
