Over 65?
Not sure what type of exercise you should be doing?
Don't worry, I looked it up for you!
The NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) recommend:
Older adults should engage in regular physical activity that involves moderate aerobic activity, muscle-strengthening exercises, and balance training.
Exercise programs for older adults should be tailored to their individual needs and abilities. Classes should be taught by qualified instructors who have experience working with older adults and can provide appropriate modifications and progressions.
Older adults should be encouraged to participate in group exercise programs that promote social interaction and support.
With that in mind, our specific classes for older people offer well rounded workouts, with qualified specialist instructors who design classes for you. Plus, our classes are friendly and fun where you'll meet like-minded people each week.
We offer various classes specifically for older people - Gentle Pilates, Zumba Gold, Lift and balance sessions online and in person exercise sessions around Didcot & Abingdon as well as our FREE Retired & Fitter online programme.
