The top things we all love about online classes

Updated: Aug 4, 2023

I’m well aware of what the instructors and I get out of beaming classes from our houses to yours during this pandemic pandemonium, but it’s wonderful to hear that you, our fitness friends get so much out of it too!

I was blown away by the responses when I recently asked for your thoughts on ‘the thing I love most about our online classes is...’.

It is great to hear that lots of our participants are doing more exercise than before, like Angela:

“Love the live classes and the chance to do so many on catch up. It’s great to workout with such enthusiastic instructors. I am doing much more exercise now thanks to you all.”

And we love that working out in the privacy of your own home has give many people the confidence and time to try new types of exercise, like Louise:

“Being able to do exercise when it fits in with my day and the opportunity of taking part in classes that I wouldn’t have the time/money/inclination to do before lockdown – my heart is definitely the ‘fittest’ it has ever been.”

One of the biggest benefits of joining our online classes is that you can do them whenever and wherever you find the time and space – even on your holidays or if you move away from the Didcot / Abingdon area. We have all loved the flexibility of catching up on a favourite classes, like Hilary:

“We can do them any time. Love the live classes so much but being able to catch up when I can is great. I’ll be abroad for a while and I can now do classes that I couldn’t previously AND get even more sweaty!”

And Diane: “Loving being able to try new classes at home and to do them at any time. Feeling really fit with so much exercise and looking forward to continuing through the winter.”

It’s been a bit strange for us instructors, not being able to see all your lovely faces, but clearly we know you so well that we mostly say the right thing at the right time! Bryony said:

“Gemma and Claire just somehow knowing when you’re slacking and gently calling you out even when they can’t see you.”

When we asked for the thing they love most about our online classes, overwhelmingly, our fitness friends appreciate the sense of togetherness that they still feel despite not being in the same sweaty space each time. As Jacquii says:

“Most of all, the friendships that have been made with Gemma, Claire and the others in the group – the support, encouragement and enthusiasm and being part of the Gemma Pearce Fitness family.”

As we move into a different phase with some face-to-face classes now available, it’s good to know that so many people have benefited from moving their exercise online, like Debbie, who loves:

“The fun and the fab feeling afterwards.”

And Linda who sums it all up with: “There’s no excuse not to put on the gear and give it your best. This has been a tough year for each and every one of us, but I’ve always felt supported and probably fitter than before.”

Well said Linda, and thanks to everyone who let us know what one thing they love most about our online classes!
